Choice

Choice

Choice is provided to us from God. We all make choices in life. Some choices we make help us to improve our lives and nourish our faith in God. Other choices we make turn us away from God and encourage worldly ideas and concepts. Our choices and the repercussions of them have a life long affect, as well as, on our individual eternity.

Choice – Adam and Eve

In the beginning, with Adam and Eve, God gave them a choice. That truth is the same today as it was with them, choices. Of course, they made the wrong choice, and it cost them a beautiful life in the garden of Eden. It brought death upon everyone, and that is for me and you. Romans 5:12 – Wherefore, as by one mans sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Death comes upon all because of the wrong choice Adam and Eve made.

Choice – Judas

In Acts 1:25 , it is said of Judas that he went to “his own place,” it was a place of his own choosing. We were made a free moral agent, that is we have the right and do make choices. Many times we make the wrong choice. We can choose to serve God, from the whole heart or we can refuse to serve Him at all.

We need to come to a mature understanding that if we choose to serve God, we must put Him first in all things. Matthew 6:33.

Choice – Repercussions

God will honor our decision in death. We can be “sheep” or we can be a “goat.” Do we remember on the Day of Judgement, Matthew 25:1-46, that all nations will be there to hear Him say to the “sheep” on the right hand, “Enter thou into the joys of the Lord.” These made the right decision. But to all them that made the wrong decision, the “goats” on the left hand will hear Him say, “depart from me, into the lake of fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.

Conclusion

As it stands today in our life, have we made the right decision? The wrong decision? By the grace of God, we may have time to turn from our sins and obey His commands. That would be the right choice.

If you have questions concerning what one must do to make the right choice, we urge you to read the Acts of the Apostles (the book of Acts in the Holy Bible) and see all those who made the right decision. You will be glad you did.
