Gods Work
Gods Work
The Bible teaches that we are to be a light to a lost and dying world. Jesus said it this way; “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” Matthew 5:14. Jesus said in Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
Gods Work – Ridgeway
The Lord’s church here at Ridgeway is involved in many good works, helping the poor and needy as we know of them, making clothes for the needy in foreign countries and supporting missionaries in many parts of the world. (Gods Work) We may never know of the good that is being done by the members of this congregation. We may never know, but God knows. Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature, and he that believes and is baptized shall be saved and he that believes not shall be damned.” Mark 16:16.
Jesus also taught that after one becomes a Christian that they must remain faithful in theirliving, until death. Revelations 2:10. Paul taught in l Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, by ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounded in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (Gods Work)
Gods Work – Invitation
Have you invited anyone to come and visit and worship the Lord our God? This is what Christians are to do! (Gods Work) I hope you will invite and be here on Sunday evening, as we begin a series of lessons on “Training Christians to be soul Winners.” That was the Lord’s mission on earth, to seek and save the lost. (Gods Work) Our responsibility is to seek, teach and encourage the lost to obey the gospel of our Lord, and the Lord will do the saving. Luke 19:10.
