Promises from God

Promises Require Obeying His Commands

God has made many promises to His people through all generations of people. When we think of God’s promises, would not our world be much better off if we obeyed His commands and enjoyed His promises?

Obey, Receive Promises

In the Deuteronomy, we read what God commanded the fathers in teaching their children. In Deuteronomy 6:4 it is written, Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thy heart; And thou shall teach them diligently unto thy children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way and when you lie down, and when you rise up.

Then Moses reminded them of the promises that He made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. (Deuteronomy 6:10-12) to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou did not build. And houses full of all good things, which thou filled not, and well’s which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees, which you did not plant; when you have eaten and be full; Then beware lest you forget the Lord, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.

God Forgotten?

So, what is wrong with this world? We have forgotten God, and many parents have failed to teach their children, and our country, at least in part has denied that there is a God. We have turned away from our creator, and do not follow His Word. He has given to us every good and perfect gift, it comes down from the Father of lights in whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17.

For our world to be great again and right in the sight of God, we must turn our lives over to Him and follow His teachings. He has promised if we seek Him 1st, that all things that we need will be given to us. Matthew 6:33.

This is what I believe and hope you believe it also.

YOU MUST DO THESE THINGS to Become a Christian

Becoming a Christian, Saved, Born Again, In Christ, or becoming a new creature all talk about salvation.

1) You must believe and confess that Jesus is the son of God. John 8:24 Jesus said you must believe that He is the Christ the Son of the living God. Matthew 10:32-33Acts 8:36-37 further tells us to confess that Jesus is God’s son.

2) Luke 13:3 Jesus said you must repent of your sins.

3) Mark 16:16 Jesus said you must be baptized.

4) Live faithfully unto death1 John 1:2

As a new creature, a Christian, we will live faithfully unto death and then arise to live forever with God. This is the God who loves you, who wants you to be his child. You can become the child of a King!

Won’t you heed His word?
