Teach our Young People

Teach our Young People

There are churches that are losing their young people. We are committed here at Ridgeway to encourage our young and we are also speaking of our parents in their twenties and their thirties also.

It was wonderful to see our young helping with the Scripture reading and the taking of the collection.

Bryan Curtis is teaching on Wednesday night and on Sunday morning, trying to encourage and to build up their confidence for future roles in the church. By devotionals, singing, and reading of Scripture. We would like to see our young married people come to these studies, and to become active in the work and worship of the church. If we are not involved in the work and worship of the church, we soon lose interest and fall away.

Why are some churches losing their young people? They feel unwanted, they feel unneeded, and that they are not good enough.

Our young people are WANTED, NEEDED and are GOOD ENOUGH

One of the reasons that our young people are leaving the church is because their parents are not committed to the church. There are many things that we can be involved in, and are good things, sports etc., but the most important of all is to put first the kingdom of God and its righteousness. Let us began TODAY, to a commitment, that we will serve God every day that we live and to encourage everyone in every way that we can.

REMEMBER: If our faith is not strong enough to take us to worship, it may not be good enough to take us to heaven.

Just some thoughts for today: Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child..” Ephesians 6:4 … “bring them up.”

YOU MUST DO THESE THINGS to Become a Christian

Becoming a Christian, Saved, Born Again, In Christ, or becoming a new creature all talk about salvation.

1) You must believe and confess that Jesus is the son of God. John 8:24 Jesus said you must believe that He is the Christ the Son of the living God. Matthew 10:32-33Acts 8:36-37 further tells us to confess that Jesus is God’s son.

2) Luke 13:3 Jesus said you must repent of your sins.

3) Mark 16:16 Jesus said you must be baptized.

4) Live faithfully unto death1 John 1:2

Therefore, as a new creature, a Christian, we will live faithfully unto death and then arise to live forever with God. In conclusion, this is the God who loves you, who wants you to be his child. You can become the child of a King!

Won’t you heed His word?
