Truth

Grounded in Truth

Since the Truth is the key to understanding and teaching the Word, we must apply it in our daily lives. The concept of restoring the church of the New Testament is simply right. Work hard, whenever a question is asked, to answer it with Scripture. Adopt the mindset of getting out of the way and letting God’s word answer the question. Remember, people are never converted without being taught the Scripture. Letting the New Testament speak means that as the study progresses over time you will be teaching that Jesus is the only way a man will get to heaven, and that Jesus purchased only one church and that church belongs to Him. Matthew 16:18.

Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life

John 14:6 states “I am the way the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father but by me.” And repentance from one’s sins is mandatory. Luke 13:3 states “except you repent, you all shall likewise parish.” That baptism is essential for salvation. Acts 2:38 “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins.” Acts 22:16. “And now why tarriest thou? Arise, and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” You will be teaching that sex outside of marriage is a sin. 1 Corinthians 7:1-5. You will also teach that God condemns the practice of homosexuality. Romans 1:24-32.

Revere the Truth and our Lord’s Commands

The Bible teaches that we must not forsake the assembly of the church as it meets on the 1st day of the week. Hebrews 10:25. As a Christian, we are to sing and make melody in our heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19.

The Bible teaches that as we meet on the 1st day of the week we are to partake of the Lord’ Supper. Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many and for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:26-28.

Jesus teaches that we are to be a light of the world. Matthew 5:16, and in verse 18 Jesus said, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:2 “Preach the word; be instant in season, and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.” We must be grounded in the truth, for only the truth will make us free. John 14:6.

As Paul said, “I am always defending the truth.”

YOU MUST DO THESE THINGS to Become a Christian

Becoming a Christian, Saved, Born Again, In Christ, or becoming a new creature all talk about salvation.

1) You must believe and confess that Jesus is the son of God. John 8:24 Jesus said you must believe that He is the Christ the Son of the living God. Matthew 10:32-33Acts 8:36-37 further tells us to confess that Jesus is God’s son.

2) Luke 13:3 Jesus said you must repent of your sins.

3) Mark 16:16 Jesus said you must be baptized.

4) Live faithfully unto death1 John 1:2

Therefore, as a new creature, a Christian, we will live faithfully unto death and then arise to live forever with God. In conclusion, this is the God who loves you, who wants you to be his child. You can become the child of a King!

Won’t you heed His word?
