Life – Hard Lessons
Life Demonstrates Hard Lessons to Learn From
Life includes hard decisions to make. The atrocity of the shooting in Las Vegas, who had come to enjoy a country music show a short time ago, as it was, took the lives of 58 people and caused many others to suffer from gunshots wounds. Then there were those in the Texas town that had gone to worship, when the gunman came and killed 26 souls and wounded many more. This causes us to wonder, “What is wrong with the people in the world that we are living in?” The answer is very simple; “People are very evil and are encouraged by the influence of Satan.” 1 Peter 5:8.
Eternal Life Consequence
These evil men (as I understand) took their own life. But it is not over for them. There is a Day of Judgment that is still to come. Hebrews 9:27.
From these events and many more that is much closer to where we live, we understand that life is not always fair. Psalms 73:1-13. We also understand that life is a vapor, James 4:4. We expect that life tomorrow will be much like today, with pains and heartaches, laughter and joy of heart. But 58 people in Las Vegas did not see the sunrise Monday morning. The same for those in Texas, 26 souls never lived to worship again.
Life Decision
So, what is the lesson here? “We must always be prepared to meet God.” Amos 4:12.
The day will come when we will say goodbye to all that we know here on earth, but this is not the end. Our Lord has promised us that if we love Him and keep His commandment, that when He comes again; as recorded in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 “He will receive us into His glory and we will live with Him forever.”

To be Saved and become a Christian – YOU MUST DO THESE THINGS
Becoming a Christian, Saved, Born Again, In Christ, or becoming a new creature all talk about salvation.
1) You must believe and confess that Jesus is the son of God. John 8:24 Jesus said you must believe that He is the Christ the Son of the living God. Matthew 10:32-33, Acts 8:36-37 further tells us to confess that Jesus is God’s son.
2) Luke 13:3 Jesus said you must repent of your sins.
3) Mark 16:16 Jesus said you must be baptized.
4) Live faithfully unto death. 1 John 1:2
As a new creature, a Christian, we will live faithfully unto death and then arise to live forever with God. This is the God who loves you, who wants you to be his child. You can become the child of a King!
Won’t you heed His word?
