Ridgeway Community News
At Ridgeway, every once in awhile we need to bring folks up to date on some of the important things happening within our community.
Recent Baptisms and our Christian youth moving forward in life after High School Graduation are the topics today.
Baptized
Last Sunday morning’s sermon was “If thou believe with all your heart”. That text was taken from the sermon that Philip preached to the eunuch as recorded in Acts 8: 35-39. The eunuch, when he understood that the prophet was speaking of, was Jesus Christ the Son of God, he wanted to be baptized. Philip said “if thou believe with all your heart you may.” The eunuch said that he did and he was baptized into Jesus Christ.
This past Sunday morning we saw the same scene come to life. Damien Zambardino, made that same confession and was baptized into Jesus Christ for the remission of his sins, and according to scriptures, the Lord added him to His church, as so stated in Acts 2:47. Let us all welcome Damien to our family at the Ridgeway Church of Christ.
As a result of one person inviting Damien to join in our services, Damien became a Christian. Wonderful things can happen if we take the time share Gods’ word and just invite people to come. Hence, being idle in your Christian Responsibility can prevent good things to happen for those around us.
Our Young Christians at Work
Most noteworthy here at the Ridgeway church, we are so very blessed with our young people. Some have been to college and several are going this year. These are: Simon and Eli Everett, Drew, Evan and Dillon Collins, Zane Hulsey, Alex Spradlin, Billy Evans and Chaney Arnold. These young Christians are the very best, and as they enter into a new phase of their life, they will glorify God and His Son Jesus Christ. Consequently, how blessed we have been to see these young Christians grow in Christ, and we pray for each of them that their faith will never fail.
Article from “In the Spotlight India Missions” – “Sorry – Can’t Help”
In seeking help for our work, too often we hear, “Sorry, but we can’t help.” Do you know the real reason behind this? Their thinking is we may have another depression, & we must have adequate funds just in case. I believe our brotherhood is clueless about the number of congregations with huge amounts of money stored away in banks.
Perhaps it would be wiser to consider how the Lord, on the Day of Judgment, would ask those in control of spending those funds—money given for the Lord’s work—why that money is in a bank instead of being used for its intended purpose. That purpose is to promote the Lord’s cause & extend the borders of His kingdom.
Conclusion – Where We Are
In Conclusion – Much of what we have been able to accomplish in the past four plus years has come through large gifts from foundations, trusts, wills, etc. But even so, every gift is very important to our efforts & help to fuel the growth of the church in India.
Your help now is critical. Already this year, our team has conducted more than 280,000 one-day Gospel meetings, leading to more than 554,000 souls being baptized. The sky’s the limit – if we pray, work & give.
Your gift should be sent to:

THEREFORE WHY NOT, WE AS CHRISTIANS, INVITE SOMEONE TO WORSHIP WITH US NEXT SUNDAY? AFTER THE MORNING WORSHIP, INVITE THEM TO HAVE A MEAL WITH US. THIS IS WHAT WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. WILL YOU DO IT? CAN GOD COUNT ON YOU TO INVITE SOMEONE?
