Power of Jesus Name
Through Jesus Christ we become Christians
Because Jesus Christ is a powerful name, therefore, we can become Christians. The name of Christian is only mentioned in the New Testament, three times. The name Christian comes from the name Christ. This name was given to them who had become Christians by obeying the gospel of Christ. Therefore, it was by this man (Jesus Christ) that this man was made whole. Acts 4:10. This was the stone that was set at naught of you builders, this is Acts 4:11. Then Acts 4:12 it is recorded that in no other is there salvation.
Jesus – Change, Choice, Challenge
Because before one can become a Christian; there is a CHANGE that must be made. There must be a change in one’s thinking and in one’s decision to become a Christian. Jesus said “You must be born again.” John 3:3-5.
Because those in Romans 6:3-4, were buried with Jesus Christ in baptism, therefore, they became Christians, born of the water and of the Spirit.
First of all, A CHANGE was made of those in Acts 11:26. They became and were called Christians in Antioch.
Also, when Paul preached to king Agrippa, in Acts 26:28, Agrippa had A CHOICE, that he had to make. King Agrippa, said to Paul; almost you persuade me to be a Christian. As far as the Scriptures record, this king never became a Christian. He made the wrong choice.
Finally, A CHALLENGE, is always there in remaining a faithful Christian. Satan is as a roaring lion, seeking whoever he made devour. 1 Peter 5:8.
In Conclusion
Most of all, Jesus came to save the lost, but we must be willing to make a CHANGE in our lives. Also, this is a CHOICE we must make. Finally, we must be ready for the continuing CHALLENGE that is before us. We must be faithful until death in order to receive the crown of life.

YOU MUST DO THESE THINGS to Become a Christian
Becoming a Christian, Saved, Born Again, In Christ, or becoming a new creature all talk about salvation.
1) You must believe and confess that Jesus is the son of God. John 8:24 Jesus said you must believe that He is the Christ the Son of the living God. Matthew 10:32-33, Acts 8:36-37 further tells us to confess that Jesus is God’s son.
2) Luke 13:3 Jesus said you must repent of your sins.
3) Mark 16:16 Jesus said you must be baptized.
4) Live faithfully unto death. 1 John 1:2
Therefore, as a new creature, a Christian, we will live faithfully unto death and then arise to live forever with God. This is the God who loves you, who wants you to be his child. You can become the child of a King!
Won’t you heed His word?
